Giveaway and Spotlight on ~ Hold Tight by Cherie Coyler

Book Description:

What’s one little spell?

When you’re new to magic, one spell can be the difference between getting what you want...and ruining the lives of everyone you love.

Sixteen-year-old Madison has just embraced her magical powers. The trick now is learning how to control them. She and her boyfriend -and fellow witch- can’t even enjoy a simple kiss without getting shocked when their powers collide. Instead of mastering her new skills, though, Madison is stuck watching her kid brother and doing chores.

But being a witch does have its benefits. With a simple spell, Madison instantly conjures the help she needs around the house. Or so she thinks. Her idea of “help” invites trouble of its own as a pair of dangerous yet enticing beings enter her life. When a classmate disappears soon afterwards, Madison discovers she's the next victim of a threat she's powerless to resist...and there’s nothing it won’t kill to make her surrender.

Caught in the crossfire between two dashing but deadly creatures, Madison must figure out which one to trust and how to rid her world of the other—before one of them destroys her and everyone she cares about.

Spotlight on SPECIAL OFFERS by M.L. Ryan

Meet Hailey - possessed by an otherworldly being who was trapped in her Kindle.

Hailey Parrish was quick-witted, irreverent, and hadn’t had a date in three years. She only wanted an eBook reader because her collection of paperbacks threatened to take over her small living space. Little did she know that the "special offers" that prompted the purchase included much more than a reduced price in exchange for a few ads. The device came pre-loaded with the essence of Sebastian Kess, an erudite womanizer with magical abilities from a parallel dimension. When she inadvertently releases him and he inhabits her body, she finally has a man inside her, just not in the way she imagined. And soon her predicament introduces her to yet another supernatural, the handsome could-be-the-man-of-her-dreams Alex Sunderland. Can Alex and Hailey find a way to return Sebastian to his own body, stay one step ahead of the criminals who want to keep him where he is, and not lose their sense of humor?

Special Offers, the first book of the Coursodon Dimension Series, combines paranormal romance, urban fantasy, a bit of science fiction and a healthy dose of quirky humor.

Excerpt

As I lay in the darkness, it occurred to me that I must be the most boring single 30 year-old ever. I didn’t go out much, I ate crappy food. I couldn’t even remember the score of the games I just watched.

This was not how I had imagined myself at this point in my life. Had my marriage not crashed and burned, we probably would have a baby by now. Yeah, and I would still be married to an asstard. He probably would have spawned asstardlets. I just wanted to feel like my life was going somewhere, like I was accomplishing something. Rolling over on my side, I vowed to try to get myself together and move forward.

When I finally fell asleep, I dreamt I went on my first post-divorce date. The guy took me to a fancy restaurant, ordered lots of food and expensive wine and then ditched me for the voluptuous hostess. I was presented with the check but lacked any means of paying it. After negotiating a payment plan with the restaurant owner, which involved

allowing him to indulge his foot fetish with my pinkie toes and some flavored whipped cream, I left the place and got into my car, which was really weird, because my date drove.

There in the parking lot were dine-and-dash and the hostess, groping each other with utter abandon. I revved up the engine, threw the car into drive and peeled out towards them. The headlights illuminated their stunned faces as I spun the car sharply, rolled down the window and chucked a lit Molotov cocktail - made from the empty wine bottle from dinner - at them and sped off humming the theme to “The Lion King.”

I woke up thinking I must be making progress. Usually in my dreams I ran them over after I set them on fire.

RE Butler's LOVING LACHLYN BOOK BLAST ~ review and giveaway

For many years, mountain lion Alek Fallon believed he was fated to be alone forever. But after meeting Lachlyn, he knows that he’s found his mate in the sweet she-bear and opens his home to her and her second mate, were-bear Jericho. Lachlyn is a shifting dud and cannot transform into her bear self. When Jericho’s father tries to force her into her bear form using a cattle prod, she nearly dies. Jericho’s father swears to find them, and now Alek, Jericho, and the lion pride are working together to keep everyone safe. When the mountain lions’ enemy interferes, it’s not only Lachlyn’s life that is on the line, but all of theirs.

This book contains plenty of m/f/m loving, two men who will love their woman to the best of their ability, interfering female lions who don’t know when to give up, and a camper used as a honeymoon suite. Be prepared for growling, neck biting, ceremonial marking, and a lot of sweethearted male mountain lions who just want to find love.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

I always wanted to be a homebody and live in one place for my entire life, but fate had other plans. In the past twelve years of my married life, we’ve moved seven times, including from one coast to the other. Southern New Jersey is home now and I love it. I have two young children, a husband who begrudgingly pays for my ebook addiction, and two dogs that think they’re people. After college, I spent eight years as an executive assistant before “retiring” at twenty-seven to become a stay-at-home mom. I have a soft spot for self-published authors, Ghirardelli chocolate, muscle cars, and men with tattoos. Most people who know me don’t know I have a tattoo of a tiger on my hip or that I have an unhealthy obsession with The Simpsons.

My Thoughts:

Adults only! ;-)

Well, let me say that I read book one Seducing Samantha first. This book would stand alone easily though. This series is mainly focused on lion shifters with some were bears and humans, and a wolf shifter thrown into the mix as well.

In Seducing Samantha (book one) we meet Sam, a human music teacher at the elementary school. She's had a tough time and moved to try and get away from her ex. I love the way sweet little Ben decides to try and hook his Dad up. :-)

We meet many male lion shifters too. The males moved to Ashland to get away from the vile, uncaring female lions. The males take care of each other and live together in a boarding house. They all long to find a mate but most think it's a lost cause given the way the women of their species act.

In book two, Loving Lachlyn, Alek is a lonely lion who despairs because his brothers have found their mate, and his uncles too. Every one seems to be mating in pairs and he's alone. If he doesn't have another male to pair with how could he have a mate?

All good things come to those who wait. ;-)

While visiting a neighboring den of bear shifter friends he meets Lachlyn and Jericho, her mate. The soon realize that the three of them were meant to be in a tri-mating.

Things are never dull with the female lions making trouble. Add in a mean bear leader and things are doubly dangerous.

I really liked Seducing Samantha (book one) and I was happy to read Loving Lachlyn but I do have one itty bitty complaint. The characters and situations are repeated and that is a good thing if you haven't read book one. Having read that book, I found the repeating of the stats annoying and unnecessary, especially hearing that the female lions were cruel, heartless and uncaring. I got that after reading it the first two or three times.

That being said, I did like this book. I love how nurturing and sweet the lion males are. It is a nice change of pace to have the women being the uncaring ones instead.

So far, in both books the women (with the exception of Lisa) have two mates. If you are leary of m/m action, there's no need to worry. The men are brothers or consider themselves as such. Even so, there is lots of steam. These are very passionate beings. Grrrrrrrr ;-)

In addition to the steam, you'll find action, some drama, hunky, kind, and loving males, a wonderful sense of family between the characters, some danger, and of course romance. You'll get the whole enchilada!

If you like shifter stories, read Loving Lachlyn, and read Seducing Samantha too.

I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I really liked the set up for the next book. I can't wait to see what happens between Tristan, Micah, and Melody.

Also, if you missed it, check out my post about book six in R.E.'s wolf series and my interview with her here.

Morgan has lived her 24 years of life under her parents thumbs, and is more than eager to start living life and carving successful career for herself.

Drake Baylor Jr. is being groomed to take over as CEO of Baylor Industries upon his father’s retirement. Although he was raised in an affluent household, his formative years were rough, leading to a string of bad decisions, and hard lived years. In order to take over as CEO, his father has given him a set of rules to live by for an indefinite period of time: No drugs, limited alcohol consumption, and absolutely no relationships whatsoever with women-his greatest weakness. If Drake can abstain from those three things, work hard, and gain his father’s trust, he can have the keys to the Kingdome. Drake meets Morgan on her first day at Baylor Industries, and the phrase “love at first sight” doesn’t even come close to describing what is felt between them. Special Deals on FALLEN FOR YOU and TAKEN FOR YOU in anticipation of GIVEN TO YOU by Carlie Sexton

Because the third book is due out next month, Carlie is offering this incredible deal so that everyone will be ready for Given To You (book three)

Here is the blurb for Given To You:

To give is a virtue. But to give your very self, the ultimate bequest. Offered in love, it can be wondrous. Offered in desperation, it can be deadly.

In Book Two of this three-part epic, young and tempting Kate Simmons at last seems  to reach a safe haven of happiness when she moves in with Neil, ambitious and   persevering both in his legal practice and his love life. Taking great care to protect his trophy and the surprise he has in mind for Kate, Neil hires security to accompany his soon-to-be fiancé on a scavenger hunt of a lifetime. And it is life, itself, that is in the balance when Kate becomes the hunted as the jilted Roger snatches his prey.

The obsessed minds of Neil and Roger now take aim squarely at each other — with a  bare and exposed Kate directly in the crossfire. Knowing her very life will be the  winner’s spoil, Kate stares agony in its ghastly face as it approaches for the death dance.

There is no time, no place, no safety in a war of fixation. A war in which the winner will be either the last one standing, or the last one to die.

Purchase it from  Amazon

If you believe your life is the sum total of your choices, what do you do when things just don’t add up? You are about to find out. It won’t be pretty. It won’t be dull. And surely, it won’t be safe. In fact, making just one wrong choice could put evil at your bedside watching you sleep.

And so it is with Kate Simmons, a young woman who, by choosing to regain her life, actually puts it at risk by the very choices she makes. After unimaginable heartbreak stops her world on a dime, Kate falls into a three  year blackness of self blame that brings her to the edge of life, itself. As time finally brings light back through tiny cracks of renewed desire, Kate moves out of the prison she made for herself in her mother’s home to find a new reality, rooming with  her best  girlfriend, Charlie.

Yet, to be free is to be vulnerable, and Kate’s choices more than ever mark a  splattered
line between being happy and being dead.

Care to choose? Here’s your menu:
A strangely alluring building manager so possessed with wanting you for his own, he’ll bury more than the fact he has a girlfriend; a buff college student for whom you  are clearly hot, as are all the other girls on campus; a pushy lawyer who is as
handsome as he is intoxicated with conquest, who doesn’t take no for an answer,  who gets what he wants —always.

Sometimes, it’s whom you choose. Sometimes, it’s who chooses you. If you’re Kate, it’s both, and it puts you on a perilous road where good looks and humor are the thin masks of jealous delusion and utter violence.

You’re in trouble when the sum total of your choices is written in blood red.

How tragic it is when a caged spirit finally finds its freedom and — entranced in its ecstasy — is invited by that freedom into a cloaked dance with danger. In Book One of this three-part epic, Kate Simmons — young and alluring, and finally out of her cage  of grief — attracts more than attention. Intoxicated by her  newfound  independence, a blithe Kate is on her way to finding out that around the corners of life, some life-changing eye-openers await. As the story continues in Book Two and she begins to churn a dangerously turbulent trail, it is Kate who now has to snap to, to react, to outrun, or become yet another tortured victim who vanishes down the path of wrong choice.

Having already roiled the risky waters of jealousy, Kate moves in with Neil while Roger — an enamored oddity — visits his son in Germany. Upon his return and finding Kate gone, Roger’s predator mind becomes unhitched, and then unleashed, on the hunt of a lifetime. But whose life?

Step by creeping step, even as Kate’s future closes in on her, she attends — obliviously — to her new life, working through the challenges of fresh relationships, losing family members both to death and to deceit, questioning the depth of love.

Every path offers a choice. Every choice offers a consequence. And every consequence summons its due. As emotions swirl across fateful days and nights, some in Kate’s life will reach out to touch happiness in warm embraces, others to sever ties in bloody traces.

The stains of passion are frequently mistaken. The question here is who will be taken?

Have you read either of these?

Do you plan to take advantage of this deal?
